Her research has been funded by the National Institute of Mental Health and the Ford Foundation. While at the University of Georgia as a graduate student, she founded the Racial Trauma Task Force, work that she has now taken over at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee.
