Sudeshna is a Senior Associate on RMI's Carbon-Free Transportation team, working on catalyzing a just and equitable transition to EVs. She focuses on developing policy and investment insights on critical enablers, such as EV charging infrastructure and battery supply chains. She is core team member of the Battery Circular Economy Initiative (BCEI) which is focused on scaling of closed-loop battery supply chains, supporting responsible sourcing practices to de-risk EV battery supply chains, and developing global standards for circularity with multi-stakeholder input. She has a background in medium and heavy-duty trucking industry from her previous role as a Mechanical Systems Engineer at Cummins Inc, where she resolved structural design problems through simulations and experimental measurements. Through this work, she developed a keen interest in strategizing decarbonization of the transportation sector.
