Lexi is a Civil Engineer with the United States Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service (USDA NRCS) where she provides engineering services and technical assistance to private landowners - primarily farmers - looking to implement conservation projects on their lands. She also serves on the Michigan NRCS Civil Rights Advisory Committee which helps ensure the agency institutes, plans, and takes affirmative steps to provide equal opportunity to women and minority applicants and employees in all areas of employment, and provides a conduit for employees to communicate their concerns to management. Prior to working for NRCS, Lexi worked in civil and environmental engineering consulting with focuses in construction quality assurance and environmental compliance. She is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Michigan, and holds a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Master’s in Environmental Engineering Science from Colorado School of Mines. Outside of work, Lexi serves on the Board of Directors for the Humane Society of West Michigan.
